Abhaya 5k run

Abhaya Foundation is a NGO established in 2006 with the mission to Serve with the H.E.A.R.T. (Healthcare, Educare, Awareness, Rural Development and Transformation). R&A as a part of its CSR initiatives, has been closely associated with Abhaya in its various initiatives to help and serve the less fortunate so as to provide them a good quality life.

As a part of Abhaya’s mission to provide love and care to the destitute who are dying on roads, Abhaya has built the Abhaya Home of Happiness at Imbrahimpatnam. This Home which was just a dream until a year back has now become a reality with the complete dedication and support of many like minded people. It is indeed a very happy and proud moment for R&A be associated with Abhaya and to dedicate this home to our country for providing shelter, education and life values to people who have been left homeless for reasons a plenty.

In order to create awareness about the Abhaya Home of Happiness to the public in general, a 5K run from Ibrahimpatnam till the Abhaya home was organized on 30th January, 2014 and the same was flagged off by Mr. Manchi Reddy Kishan Reddy. R&A  family actively participated in the 5K run and supported Abhaya in every possible way.

Mazza run

R&A participates in the run for a Social Cause. R&A is closely associated with Abhaya Foundation, an NGO that has been founded by CS Balachandra and supported by like minded professionals. The foundation has been undertaking various humanitarian works while striving hard in various fields.

Abhaya Foundation apart from its regular social activities has now embarked on a very large mission of building a home of happiness to provide shelter and secured life to those who are homeless and are lying on the roads as destitute. The foundation seeks more hands in making this world a better place to live in.

In order to raise funds to achieve its objectives, Abhaya registered with United Way an organization that connects various NGO’s with corporates and helps them raise the funds. One of the events organized by United Way were the 10K run and 7k run which were held on 25th November, 2012. There were approximately 8,500 participants for the 10k run and 6,000 participants for the 7k run. Union Tourism Minister K. Chiranjeevi, Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar, tennis star Sania Mirza, Badminton coach Pullela Gopi Chand, Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma, were among those present.

Families, groups of youngsters, school students, college-goers and professionals comprised colourful crowd, donning sporty shoes and track pants, with many wearing t-shirts with the company’s or institution’s name and holding up banners and waving flags.

R&A as a part of its CSR initiative encouraged its team to participate in the run to raise awareness about Abhaya. The team had an amazing experience and the enthusiasm of the participants was worth watching.
